Chris,
Thanks for the reply. This is a turbo model and as such does have the fog lamps. You mentioned the ground being located at the main relay ground connector. I need a clue as to where I might find this. Forgive me, but being new to these cars I am unfamiliar with where this would be. I do have both the Chilton and Haynes manuals on the way from the Amazon used books selection but I am concerned that I might not get them in time to fix my problem and meet the reinspection deadline. I am also looking for insight as to how to remove the switch from the dash in order to check it. I don't think I mentioned in my previous post that the light on the switch itself does light. I don't know if that is significant or not. Since both lights are out but appear to be ok I will check the continuity at the plug just in case. I do have a pretty good suspicion that the problem is as you have stated or the switch. The relay mentioned in your post, what is its function in the circuit? I have seen many postings here about relays for seats, lights and on and on. I want to make sure that I am understanding this correctly, a relay is a device that open or closes a circuit in response to a specific amount of charge. Right? How is this important to the operation of my foglamps? Thanks again for the response.
