Alarm 850 1995

My alarm worked when I left for deloyment and it acted funny when I was trying to jump it when I returned home. I took the battery out and charged it, reinstalled it and now the alarm won't respond at all. I have tried turning the key on 5 times leaving it on the 5th time and pushing the fob button to no avail. I have left the battery off for a few hours and tried it again. I can't figure it out.

Last year I was having trouble with the doors not locking when I activated the alarm but after I installed a new car battery it worked. Go figure.

Any ideas?
