Seat Adjustment Problem.... mod cable. 850 1994

You don't really need to replace the cable just shorten the plastic sheath a little so the wire cable can actually protrude a little farther out of the sheath and into the gear drive. There's an article over at Bay 13 on how to do it. Just warm up the metal cap end on one end of the cable and slide the end off. Trim about 3/8" off the plastic sheath then slide the metal cap back on the end. Reattach the cable to the gear drive and re-install the seatback cover and that's it.
