Struts for v70 AWD V70-XC70

Just got an expensive quote for my V70 AWD. I'm being told thatthe struts and bearings in the tower will need to be replaced because they are leaking. The car has only 79,000 miles so it seems too low of mileage for this. I am looking at going to Midas or some other place to save on the $605 repair (struts, alignment, bushing in tower) if I know the parts are up to standards. The Midas guy I talked to today said there are a handful of strut manufacturers and the aftermarket parts are often made by the same companies Volvo used. The car is great when it doesn't need service so I am inclined to throw in the towel and get a new ride for the Mrs. The car averages $2500 - $4000 a year in service. Talk me down from a new car payment!
