My wife gets 5mpg more than I do. 850 1995

The 855t has become wife's car and she drives it exclusively. Saturday morning I took it fill it up and noticed the "miles to empty" display on the trip computer showed 445. Strange, in 3 years of driving the car I never saw it show more than 335 when I filled up.

I turned the knob to see what her average mpg figure was over the last month and she's getting 25.5mpg! I never saw better than 21 and change except when on interstate trips towing a small trailer. Then I managed 22.5 or so.

Two things are obvious. One is she doesn't blast around like I did (but she has picked up two speeding tickets in a month, not paying attention to changes) and the other is that the trip computer bases it's "miles to empty" on the recorded average.

With Super going for $2.09 here in Memphis again, every additional mpg helps.

Fwiw, driving my '88 197,000mile 745t w/ M46 I'm managing 21mpg.
