Problems with MCC on 98 S70 S70

Looking for some sound advice on how to deal with my malfunctioning MCC. First off My function selector is not working. No matter what position I put it in I do not get a noticeable change in air flow. Im getting a small ammount of air flow out of all the vents no matter what position the switch is in. Second my blower is on it last leg. It runs very labored and puts out almost no air flow. When I put it on it's highest setting it groan and sounds like it going to die out at any moment. Thinking that the blower problem is a result of running against a clogged cabin filter (forgot about that dam thing). Not sure about the climate control module. Will I have to replace both and if so how do I go about the removal process??? Oh and the Recir. light blinks for a second or 2 when the car is first stated. What fault does this indicate?? Any help would be greatly appreciated
