vibration during braking 850

Hi Group:

On my '94 854 Turbo, there is a substantial vibration that can be felt under moderate to heavy braking. Not sure when this started, as my wife drives the car 98% of the time, but I'm reasonably sure that the primary issue is not the brakes themselves. All four rotors are relatively new (several K miles), and true, and I just replaced and bedded in all new pads. The vibration isn't there under gentle braking. Anything else I should look at, such as motor/trans/suspension mounts or bushings? No abnormal symptoms at steady speed or even brisk acceleration, either. Alignment is good, tires all balanced, wheels unbent, etc., and no, it's not the ABS kicking in. TIA.

Dean
