Runs fine, but runs rich

You very likley fixed it when you changed the fuel pressure regulator.If there was gas in the vaccum hose you got it for sure,the only other way was to have a fuel pressure gauge hooked up with the old one and see if the needle pegs.Also dont forget to check the cooling system thermostat,if it sticks open the engine runs too cold and the E.C.M. interprets this as being real cold outside and richens the fuel mix to compensate.
