Miscellaneous charges 850

Anyone else have to pay a "miscellaneous shop charges" fee when taking their Volvo in for service?

I had timing belt, serpentine belt and front pads replaced and was charged ~$12 for miscellaneuous charges. I asked what it was for and was told brake cleaner, rags and "stuff like that". That's a lot of stuff.

I have not paid this fee at other Volvo dealers in Texas and Washington.
When I asked for an accurate accounting of the charge, I was informed that "the computer estimates it based on the job".

Sounds like bullshit to me. I realize the amount is low, but it irks me to no end.
