Fuel smell in S70 S70 1998

I have a 1998 S70 with 145000 Km. For about a month now I keep getting a smell of fuel in the car. The car seems to run well. There are no leaks. After sniffing around the car, under, engine, I think the smell comes from the fuel pressure regulator and then seeps into the car via the pollen filter.
Should I replace the fuel pressure regulator or just the gaskets to start with? How do I relieve the fuel pressure first ? If I remove the fuel pump fuse while the car is running will this relieve the pressure?
Thanks for any help on this. Phil.
