weird servo motor sound S40-V40

My '00 S40 has started making this faint "servo motor sound" whenever I press the brakes after first starting up, usually when the engine is cold. After 5 - 10 min. or so the noise goes away. It sounds like maybe like the motor to the retractable antenna except it seems to be coming from the engine compartment and only when I press the brakes. The car didn't make this noise before. It's a new noise. Car has 66k miles.

Any ideas what may be causing this noise? Should I be concerned?

thanks,
David
