Try your speaker wire, it won't hurt. It will probably kink and stop. Too bad there isn't someone out there who would make a plastic snake. Try coming up from the bottom also.
When the sunroof is dry, try using a leaf blower to clean out some of the junk in the rear area. That worked on my 780, lots of maple pin wheels. Remember, the sun roof is not designed to be water proof, that's why there are drain holes.
