odometer gear replacement 850 1995

Greetings,

My '95 850 odometer stopped working. I bought the gear and successfully removed the instrument cluster per Bay 13 instructions. But I couldn't split the cluster apart in order to get at the gear. I removed 8 or 9 one-inch screws that allowed me to separate the 2 pieces at the top of the cluster, but the bottom was held together pretty tightly with no remaining screws. I applied as much pressure as I was comfortable applying and it still didn't separate.

Did I just need to apply a little more pressure, i.e. is it just a snap fit? Or did I miss some additional screws or something?

Thanks,
Scott
