The answer is NO... clear the code.. and drive it... often it never come back.. even if it do... so what ?/ if the car running fine without missing.. or any problem... I just avoid it..
I too have 1994 850 turbo the check engine light come and stay on year round first I replace many part but it still come back. later I learn the 1994 have a ECU problem.... computer prolem triger these code to come on for nothing .. often the only way to fix it it replace with a new ECU that cost $2000.. I am not about to do that
on my car we just place a piece black tape over the engine check ligt.. and let it be.. I check and listen how car run.. I what wrong.. by the way it drive
