Changing wheel bearings on 2000-S80 S80 2000

I have noticed a low frequency wheel noise, specially at very low speeds in the city and I suspect wheel bearings are going bad on my 2000 S80/2.9 with 65K miles. I can't tell if it comes from one wheel in particular or more than one, but it is a very annoying noise.

Can I venture on replacing the wheel bearings myself as a DIY? I feel comfortable working on the car on break pads, oil, sparks, etc. What parts I need to order?

What does it take to to do this job? Special tools, grease, safety precautions?

Please help!
