'93 850 Climate Control Trouble 850 1993

ECC AC and Recirculation light have been flashing for over a year, but I haven't noticed any trouble until recently. Now I only get air out of the dash vents - no defrost or floor. Temperature seems to be fine for both heat and AC.

The dealer says it has fault codes 211, 414, and 417 and wants over $700 to replace what they called shutter motor(s) and 2 temperature sensors. I think they're trying to rip me off (again)!

I then talked to the parts dept who suggested that it may be as simple as a broken lever that connects to a blower under the glove box near the center console. He also said that the motor is located in the same place, but didn't know how easy it was to replace. Is this something I can do myself?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
