Battery problem 850

Invest a few dollars in a trickle charger. If you park the car outside, get one from VW which has a solar panel. Otherwise, go to sears or auto supply store for one that plugs into the house current.
Even a brand new battery is not fully charged when you get it. I had mine replaced and drove an hour to get to the airport. 6 days later, the doors would not unlock - totally dead. The lot jumped the car and I trickle charged it for two days and then drove it for 6 years without another problem.
