Glad to hear the noise is nothing to worry about! The tires are really great though! My last set were BF Goodrich too, but they were just plain old (literally) touring tires, nothing special. I think there were a few years old too, but they never popped. These take the turns so greatly, and I've been loving driving in the snow with them.

We paid $77 per tire at Sears. They were on sale. A few other places in the area wanted 88-91 per tire.
