gas latch S70 1998

Patric,
I use WD40 or silicone lubricant, which ever is handy at the moment, and spray the hinge/spring. If it gets too dirty the plate will not spring open. The manual thing I have not had to do, but there is a pic in the manual. It's behind the panel on the pass side of the trunk.
My thermometer is also off by about 5 degrees F above the temp that is shown on a reliable temperature gauge close to my house. So I just subtract 5 degrees. Close counts.
