failure to start 94 850 turbo 850

About once every 3 months here's what happens.I get in the car,the doors lock,the emergency lamp flashes,I turn the key, all the dash lights illuminate,then the thing won't start.I lift the hood,disconnect the negative battery cable momentarily,put it back on and presto! I'm back in business.What gives ?? Thank you in advance.
