Small leak evaporative system 850 1996

I'm trying to trace a small evaporative system leak that keeps turning on my CEL about every 2 weeks. There is a small sensor mounted under the lip of the radiator with white and purple vacuum lines running to it. What is this thing? I understand this thingee may be my problem. Also, it has a small knob on the side that must adjust something. Any ideas appreciated!
