Check engine light OBDII P code 850

I have a 95 850 turbo wagon with a check engine light on. I stopped by the parts store to have the code read and it came back P0500 - "The PCM has determined that a malfunction exists in the electrical circuit for the vehicle speed sensor". Has any one experienced this? If so what are the options on fixing it. The average speed on the dash under the speedometer seems accurate.

Thanks
