I have found Volvo batteries competitivley priced, at least here in Canada, paying just over $100Cdn when replacing my 850 battery. Having said that, what they are telling you about the cables, while may be true, is highly unlikely. The price they are quoting you is ridiculous. Why not have the battery replaced somewhere else and get a second opinion on the cables at the same time....
