What's wrong with my automatic transmission? 850 1995

I have 95 850T auto with 165K miles. My car transmission seems to disenage when I stop and when I press the gas to go it hesitates for awhile then jerk and transmision engages. I tried flushing transmission and did not make much changes. Is my transmission gone?
