Brake Fluid Leak 850 1994

I have a significant leak of brake fluid coming from under the hood. It happens whenever the brake pedal is depressed. I put the car on jack stands to locate the leak and I discovered that it was coming from a metal unit located below what I thought was the master cylinder and directly below the ECM harness beside the brake fluid reservoir. I have tried to identify the part from the Chilton manual and from other postings on this and other sites but no luck. Am I confused as to what the part is. Is the master cylinder located imediately below (and attached to) the fluid reservoir or was I looking at the master cylinder?
Assuming it is the master cylinder that is leaking, FCP Groton doesn't seem to offer rebuild kits for master cyclinders. Does anyone know where I can buy one (preferably in Toronto or elsewhere in Canada)?
Many thanks for your help and replies.
