To turn it off, unlock with the key twice or push on the key fob twice. If all of the doors except the driver's are locked, the driver's door will lock after 2 minutes. I almost got caught with my key in the car last month, good thing I had the window open! In Europe, if you leave your car unlocked you will be given a ticket.
