PNP switch 850

Have you tried the old reliable "row-your-boat" therapy ?

Every fall, my 850 PNP switch fritzes out when the weather changes to winter. I followed the directions on this board - "row" the shifter from Park all the way down to Low, about 30 times (I do 2 sets of 20 myself !!). Obviously, do it with the engine off, switch turned to "on".

The next time I come out to the car, the flashing arrow is off. It just works the crud off the switch.

I've avoided a PNP replacement that way for 4 years now.............
