If you have only owned the older................. V70-XC70 2000

rear wheel drive "brick" versions like me then switch to the newer 850, 70 series you will be very dissapointed from a "reliability/robustness" stand point! They are not at all like the old bricks in those categories!! I have a 98 V70R AWD and while it is a much much more "refined" machine compared to my old brick.......its just not as "reliable" like the brick! Also 99 and later got even more complicated electronics!!! If you take the plunge and like to self repair like myself......go no later than a 98! You'll be glad you did!
