Cannot turn AM Radio stations accurately - increments by 9s not 10s S40-V40

I have Volvo HU-615 (CD/Cassette/Radio) audio system - nothing special. Normal radios on AM band increments by 10s [for example 560 to 570 to 580 etc]. However, my HU-615 increments AM radio stations by 9s [for example: 560 to 569 to 578 etc]. As you can imagine, listening to commute traffic reports with a bunch of static because the station is not perfectly tuned would cause a person to go bonkers!

I understand the US standard is by 10s and the European standard is by 9s.

Anyone know how to correct this "feature" on the HU-615?
