The dash in my 1997 850-R 850 1997

In the dash between the passenger side airbag and the right hand air vent in the center above the radio is a squeak that just started right after a nice cold snap. If I hold the dash down at that point the squeak disappears. Any ideas on how I can rid myself of this sqeak? Is is possible that a fitting broke?
