You should leagally be able to insist that the insurance company Replace your car if they are lo balling you on the price. Call them and tell them to Find you a similar Volvo! I had success with this when I totalled my mothers DL many years ago. I had parked legally on a busy street and a blue haired woman waffled the car and it was wrecked. The insurance adjuster offered $900.00 and we thought we were stuck. A family friend told us to shop locally for a Volvo replacement (the internet makes this easier) and sent the prices to the adjuster. We settled for much more and I was able to replace the car.
