CHeck engine Codes, where can I find a listing V70-XC70

I was wondering if the code reader you purchased from IPD reads volvo specific codes as well as generic codes. I have had to go computer based readers for my VW/Audi products and thought that I might have to do the same for the Volvo. If you only get generic codes you will miss a lot of information.
