OIL LEAK 850 1995

Just bought my first Volvo, 104000km Have noticed oil seems to blow out of the oil filler cap on top the engine, gets bad when car is driven hard. I have seem some smoke come from the dip stick tube when I checked the oil and also from the fillerhole when adding oil............... how scared should I be? I see mega dollars flying out the window as in this part of the world repairs on "higher end" cars not performed by many garages.
