Ok so it wasnt the Valve cover leaking oil .... crankcase tube was off 850

the hard plastic tube comes from VC , goes under the intake , comes around the side , and fits into the suction on the turbo .

Well it had popped out , and has been that way quite some time apparently . It has dripped oil onto the steering rack , and oil vapor comes out when idling . THAT WAS what I been smelling sitting at lights .

So i pulled off the plastic intake tube to the turbo , and look inside and see where sand and junk has been getting in there .... because the 1/2 inch hole left from the crankcase tube not being there . There is also a sensor there that apparently looks for crankcase vapor ? I dunno . But I cleaned it up , plugged off the hole in the tube where the crankcase tube would have gone .

Then added more rubber hose to the crankcase tube and ran it under the car a bit .

Reason I did this ... it drips oil slightly when running . And the oil vapor comes out of that . So that cannot be good going into the turbo inlet .

On my mustangs i have a catch can for the CC breather to leak into .

Is there such a thing for a volvo ??
