Question for 98 & 99 AWD owners V70-XC70 1998

Greetings. I had a '98 V70 AWD a couple years ago. However, after I read all the bevel gear problems, I sold it with abt 60k on it. I regretted it somewhat, because it was beautiful - black, tinted windows, IPD sways, etc. However, I didn't want to get stuck with a 3 -4 thousand dollar repair bill. My question to those of you who have them, have you had bevel gear problems? If so, when did they occur and how much to fix?
