Loud banging from front-end over small bumps? S70 1998

Hello All! I drive a '98 S70 with 84K miles and need help diagnosing a problem I've been having lately. While driving around town if I hit even the smallest of potholes or cracks in the road I hear a loud "thump" from the passenger side wheel. Every little crack in the road sounds as if I've just plowed into a 6 inch curb! Going over speed bumps are the worst. Lately I've been coming to almost a complete stop before going over them. This problem seems also to be aggravated by cold weather, and sometimes lightens up once the car is warm. I'm trying to narrow it down between shocks, struts, or bearings? Anyone had similar problems?
