Blown oil cap 850 1995

Hi,

I got a major problem. My wife drove her 95 850 glt back on Friday and complained about oil smell. I opened the hood and discovered the oil cap was blown off the side on top of the engine. There were oil everywhere. I spent the whole Saturday morning to clean up the oil. I did some search and found out this problem might be related to the flame trap. I took the flame trap out and it's soak with oil. I cleaned it. While I had the spark plug cover opened(cleaning oil), I changed the spark plug too(FR7dc). The spark plug was very corrosive. I fill some mobile one oil to the right level. I started the car and the car seems idle louder(sound like some kind of ticking sound). At this point, I am tired and gave up working on it for today. I am going to order a new flame trap and a ring. I am also thinking about jack the car up and look under. Any suggestions is greatly appricated.

The car has 110,000km and it's orginated from Canada. I just changed oil not too long ago with Mobile one and mobile one filter...

Thank you again,

Ding
