Hints to replace timing belt cover S80

Replaced the thermostat on my S80 with the 2.9L engine.

Plenty of 4-letter words about accessing anything near where the t-stat lives.

All done, but having trouble getting the timing belt cover back onto the motor--can get it positioned and have replaced the 1 bolt, but still rubbing on pulleys/whatnot.

Is there a trick to putting it back on or should I just keep trying over and over? No skin left on the back of my hands from the overflow tank/power steering reservoir being in the way.

Dang Swedish engineers!!!! May their aquavit curdle and their lutefisk lose its potency (or visa versa)
