Failed Smog Check S70 1998

I believe and ODBII code reader can reset the readiness monitors. Odd that they would not be "ready" after two months though.

Who knows, you may have pending codes waiting, or codes period withoug the MIL on. If the MIL (aka check engine light) is burnt out, your car could be throwing a bunch of codes and you would not know unless you had the reader hooked up to it. Bring it to Autozone, and they will read the codes for free.

If they find anything, post back here and let us know what was found, and we can go from there. If no codes are found, ask them if they can reset the readiness monitors.
