Leaking from Oil Filter S70

Volvo Bulletin (from Vadis)

850 S70/V70/C70-2-21-0014

Background:
The oil pan may leak.
The oil often leaks from the three screws at the front edge of the pan. New screws with thread sealant have been introduced into production from and including the following chassis number.
In the event of leakage, the three screws must be replaced with new screws with thread sealant. Alternatively thread sealant P/N 1161056-5 can be used.


Replacing oil pan screws

Removing screws and replacing with new screws with thread sealant
Note! Remedy one screw at a time.
Remove:
-the screws x3 (A).
Install:
-new screws, P/N 981684-4. Tightening torque 17 Nm.
Alternatively thread sealant P/N 1161056-5 can be used.
Follow the instructions on the packaging.
