towing electrics S80 2000

Hi...

I have just installed an aftermarket towbar and I now want to install the electrics. I had a look at the standard electics that came with the towbar and I am now awfully keen on splicing them into my S80s wiring loom.

I notice that volvo sell its own wiring harness and relay kit. However is it possible to get an aftermarket version for less?

Also, if I do this will the system not work until I get the software upgrade from volvo?
