Removing rear seat bottom cushion?

OK, I'm sure a lot of you have removed your rear seat bottom cushion a time or two. I have a C70, but I'm sure they are almost all the same - heck my Chrysler is the same. I know how they are connected - the metal "U" shaped wires on the seat bottom clips into those two oval plastic clips. My question is what you all use to release those clips. Most people just yank up until something gives. Not good. What does the dealer tool look like that does that? Has anybody fashioned a good substitute?
