Starting Problem S70

Drive a S70 2.0T.

The starting problem I am experiencing at the moment I believe is related to the ignition key chip and the reader coil in the steering wheel kit.

At times, I need to crank it a four to five times before it starts. Swithching keys does not seem to help and I understood that the need to download and update the software system is irelevant to this matter.

Has anyone here expereinced the same problem. Is there any special steps that we need to take before we start the care? For example, some BMW models require that we depress the brake pedal before the car is started.

Can some please share their experience?

Thanks.
