Overdrive repair

I have an '84 240 DL. My overdrive does not function, and after checking fuse #12, I plan to check the relay. Where should I look for this relay? FAQ states it's behind the ashtray on the 760, but what about the 240? If everything checks out OK, I plan to check the selenoid and the wiring from the driver selector to the selenoid. Any other tips before I get started? Thank you for your time and help!
