replacing the speedo dial S80 2000

Hi...

I am based in Ireland and we recently changed all of our roadsigns from miles to kilometers. To avoid squinting at the tiny secondary KPH numbers in the speedo dial, I would like to replace my MPH dial with a KPH dial.

I have two questions:

1. is this a difficult job? According to Vadis I just need to remove 4 screws to lift out the DIM module (instrument panel). However I cannot determine from VADIS whether I will trigger some kind of an alarm. Would disconnecting the battery help? Also, once I remove the DIM, is it easy to get at the dial?

2. does anyone have a KPH dial that they would like to sell me? :-)
