Low Oil Level light (not oil pressure) is on and oil is full! 850 1993

I have a '93 GLT with 285,000 miles on it. The 93's have a low level light indicator to alert you when oil is down a bit, in my case I think about 1/2 quart down. I like the warning as it takes about 4-5k miles to come on and it reminds me time for an oil change. (yes, small leak or burning some but after 285k miles I don't think too bad).

Question - where is the oil level sensor located and can it be replaced without major hassle - or is it a dealer item - or is this a case for using a piece of tape to just cover the light?

I know Volvo dropped the sensor on later models as they were troublesome but if practicable I would like to fix.

Thanks!
