Dealer prices on 2001 Volvos seem low

Just checking the prices in the paper--dealer asking prices are lower than Edmunds and much lower than KBB. Basically mid-teens for cars with 50k or so miles--and you can find these for $10-12k on eBay. That is some brutal depreciation. I think four year old 850s were selling for more than that in the late 90s. Are these cars total duds? Is Volvo completely losing their reputation? I thought 2001+ cars were supposed to be half decent. What's up?
