Where is the remote door lock receiver in the car? I need to clear the codes or replace it. 850 1997

Your dealer can R&R any part on the car, but they never "fix" anything. Did you try to program both remotes at the same time? The book says you have 10 seconds or so to hit the remote button and that is time to do 4 of them. The transcievers keep moving from year to year, I think yours is above the steering column - way up there! I don't believe they are made to be software reloadable.
