You're selling a used car so if selling to a stranger (best option BTW), you're not entitled to tell the new buyer ANYTHING about "what might happen if"
That's his problem.

You won't get that money back when you sell the car. It never makes sense to put much money into any used car before selling unless you have to just to make it sellable.
