If you need Volvo parts, go Scan-Tech!!

Hi,

I just want to let you know my great experience with this very nice and efficience aftermarket supplier of Volvo parts named Scan-Tech.

I've ordered 2 inner tie rods for a Volvo S40 by Lemfoerder (one of the most reputable aftermarket steering component manufacturer). Unfortunately these tie rods came without locking washers that are required to secure the tie rods to the steering rack so I was stuck with an unusable set of parts :( This was not a packaging problem since after several calls to Lemfoerder Germany, I got confirmation that these parts are supplied without any locking washers!! You need to know that you CANNOT get the washers alone from Volvo, they only sell their own tie rods with the locking washers.....and at a huge price!!

I asked several other tie rod manufacturers for locking washers (Febi, Sidem) and none were delivering the locking washers. In one word, all these manufacturers sell tie rods set that are unusable on the S40!!!!

In a last attempt I contacted an unknown society based in Sweden, Scan-Tech, that manufactures aftermarket parts for Volvo and Saab. And this was my solution: first Scan-ech is the ONLY manufacturer that sell tie rods WITH required locking washers and second, one of the head officer of Scan-Tech USA offered to ship the locking washers alone directly from their factory in Sweden!!

All I can say is that I'm a lucky man again thanks to Scan-Tech! Beware this is not an advertisement for Scan-Tech products and I do not work for them. I only post this message so that other people here, such as me, know that this little society named Scan-Tech is very professional, helpful and provide great support even for me who has not bought parts from them!!!

So if you need parts for your Volvo, first take a look at their website to see if they have what you need because this may save you A LOT of troubles!!!
